The neck was made to be extra long to accommodate dramatic head posing, arms have built in ports for exchangeable hands and arms.
I worked closely with Thaddeus Varness, lead animator on Le Charade , to create a highly posable and easy to animate puppet. This involved eventually separating our gloves from the body, making the torso extra long, and figuring out the wrist joint connection.

Following along with a 2D pass of the stretch I sculpted 8 variations of the ear as it stretched, each with tiny magnets inside to connect to the head.
To check that the arcs and swap outs were effective I took it in camera and did a pose test, ultimately going back and changing some of the sculpts.
